  1. That's a great article! I'm going to share it with some other teachers at my school as well. Though our percentage of low-income students is low, i still think it will be very beneficial in understanding others' backgrounds.

  2. I also teach in a low income district so this article will get passed around from school to school. I agree that it is very important to build relationships (with all students but especially low income students) because your right they don't get this at home. Great tips!

  3. This is very helpful. I know my kids do not have conversations with their parents and their parents do not interact with them so they do not know how to have a relationship. It is very important to show them you care and be interested in them to form those relationships.

  5. Thank you for sharing this resource. One of our major goals this year is building relationships. We didn't score very well in that area on our gallup poll and we are striving to do much better. I am going to share this with my department and build those relationships.
